Shut down the street for this one. Traffic control in place and bracing to protect the sidewalk. We were blessed the tree had a slight weight distribution towards where we needed it to go.

Client was nice enough to catch this video for us. The kids were real excited to see it come down 🤠

Laurel Oak Removal we knocked out today.

Tree had been in decline for a while and homeowner had put it into the back of their mind until a branch fell and came close to hitting one of their children playing basketball. They gave us a call and we made it a priority and got out within a week.

Client also had quite a headache with the surrounding elevated landscape bed. Lots of ugly weeds and timbers blocking their driveway. We ground through the entirety of the stump and elevated grade, removed the landscape ties and an entire dump truck load of dirt to get their yard leveled out. Spread a grass seed blend on that fresh dirt. Itll be looking like a whole new house once that grass is coming in!

Removed this Laurel Oak this morning.

Horrible infestation of borers in this whole neighborhood. White rot followed. Large limb broke out over the sidewalk and homeowner opted for removal over the risk of it possibly hitting a pedestrian. Crew had it down and cleaned up in two hours flat.

Laurel Oak Removal in Apopka this morning. This whole neighborhood has a boring insect infestation. This tree had developed significant white rot and had multiple breakout over the sidewalk. Client didn’t want to take the risk of a branch landing on a pedestrian and decided to opt for removal.

We’re looking to add a couple solid ground guys to the crew.

Sacred Tree Services is hiring in the Orlando / Central Florida area.

We do about 75% Pruning and 25% removals. We’re also taking on a lot of forestry mulching and grading projects so if you’re a good operator there’s opportunities for more work.

We run 4-5 days a week.

Running a tree service brings about a lot of moral conundrums.

This client came to us for an estimate to basically cut these trees back to 10 feet.

The trees had been topped previously about 7 years ago. We don’t practice “topping” trees. It’s against our industry standards.

However, the trees had already been topped. This is an opportunity. This is how pollards are established.

You decide to talk the client out of the 10 foot topping and to cut back to the previous heading cuts made because you’re sure they’re gonna do it regardless and the best hope for the trees is someone who at least cares about preserving them. It’s hard to explain a pollard to a person who’s not a tree nerd.

But you manage to convince them with a middle ground option between price of large wood coming out/the reduction of the amount of work to be conducted and you continue building report only to discover their son died and was a mentor to you in high school, and a truly joyous human being. You proceed to offer a fantastic deal of 50 yards of debris removal due to your love for trees and your shared sorrow with another human being.

These are the trees shooting new canopy 7 months later.
