Energy Solutions HVAC

Big news, neighbors —

Born and raised in Danville — and now raising my own kids here — I'm proud to share that Energy Solutions just opened an office right on Hartz Ave.

After nearly 30 years serving the East Bay from our Antioch base, we're now closer than ever to Danville and Alamo homes and businesses.

Here's what makes us different:

- Fix before we replace — honest diagnostics, no upsells
- Transparent pricing, no high-pressure sales
- Preventative maintenance focus that keeps systems running longer
- 40 to 60% energy savings for most of our customers

If you're a Danville or Alamo neighbor, we'd love to earn your trust. And if you know someone who needs an honest HVAC opinion — even just a free second opinion — send them our way.

It's hitting 100° today. Your AC has been running hard for six weeks straight. Here's what actually helps.
Right now:
– Set your thermostat to 78°F. Cranking it to 65° doesn't cool faster — it runs your compressor harder while your PG&E bill climbs.
– Close every blind on west- and south-facing windows.
– Ceiling fans counterclockwise, only in rooms you're in.
– Skip the oven and the dryer until after 9 p.m.
Watch for:
– Ice on the copper lines outside (refrigerant issue — will kill your compressor)
– Warm air from the vents while the outdoor unit is running
– New sounds: buzz, rattle, hum-then-silence
– Outdoor unit running non-stop without cycling
Any of those, call today. Peak-summer schedules fill up in hours, and every day deeper into August means longer waits.

Meet the crew keeping you cool this summer.
25+ years serving the East Bay, and one thing we don't do: push you toward a new system when your current one has years left in it.
We call it repair before replace. If we can fix it, we fix it. If a tune-up will get you through August, we say so. And if it really is time to replace — we tell you that honestly, with the numbers to back it up.
Antioch, Brentwood, Concord, Pittsburg, Oakley, Walnut Creek, Danville, Lafayette — your house, our problem. Triple-digit days don't catch us off guard.

The first 90° day always sneaks up on us.
Every year around late May or early June, we get the same flood of calls — homeowners who haven't run their AC since October, turning it on for the first time, and finding out it's not blowing cold. Or it's cold for ten minutes and then stops. Or it's making a sound it didn't used to make.
Most of those problems were quietly there last fall. They just got worse sitting through winter.
Here's the move: get ahead of it. Call us out for a free in-home estimate before the heat really lands. We'll look at your system, tell you straight whether it needs a repair, a tune-up, or a replacement, and give you honest numbers — not a sales pitch.
If replacement does turn out to be the right call, the rebate stack right now is significant. Between state programs, utility rebates, federal tax credits, and current manufacturer promotions through our distributors, a high-efficiency upgrade can come with several thousand dollars in combined incentives — before any current Energy Solutions offers.

Free estimate, no pressure. 925-778-1335. We'd rather come out and tell you nothing's wrong than have you find out on the hottest weekend of the summer.

We're hiring a service technician.
Energy Solutions has been a family-run HVAC shop in Antioch since 1998. We're looking for a service tech to join the crew — someone who takes pride in the work and treats a customer's home like their own.
What's different about working here:
– We fix what works before we sell something new. You won't be pushed to upsell people who don't need it. If that's why you're tired of your current shop — we get it.
– Local work. East Bay routes. Home for dinner.
– Small enough that you're a name, not a number. 28 years in business, steady work, good crew.
– 35-45, plus [BENEFITS — health, dental, vision, take-home vehicle, tools, etc.]
What we're looking for:
– 7+ years of residential HVAC service experience
– EPA certification [required]
– Clean driving record
– Someone customers trust the minute you walk in
Interested, or know someone who'd be a good fit? [HOW TO APPLY — email [email protected] / call (925)778-1335.
We'd love to talk.

Heat's coming. Your AC has been sitting unused since October.
Now's the time for a tune-up. About 45 minutes, $90 right now. We check refrigerant level, capacitor charge, electrical connections, coil cleanliness, and filter — the small things that quietly run your bill up all summer or break the system on the first 95° day.
If everything's good, we tell you it's good. If something needs work, we tell you straight what it'll cost. 28 years in the East Bay, and we'd rather catch a $40 problem in May than send a truck on an emergency call when your house is 90° inside.
Schedule while the calendar's open. Once the heat lands we're booked out. 925-778-1335

Three signs your AC isn't going to make it through summer:

1- It took more than a few minutes to start cooling last fall. Compressors and capacitors that were sluggish in October don't get better after sitting unused all winter. They get worse. If yours wheezed through last fall, June is going to be ugly.
2- You can hear new sounds. Buzzing, rattling, or that brief humming-then-silence are all signs of a capacitor on its way out. They go fast. Usually on the hottest day of the year, naturally.
3- It's 12+ years old. Average residential AC lifespan in California is 12–15 years. East Bay summers cut that shorter. Past 12, you're on borrowed time — and refrigerant for older systems (especially R-22) is phased out, which makes repairs more expensive every year.

If any of those describe your system, this is the week to deal with it. Schedules are still open. By July they won't be.
Honest take: we've kept plenty of 18-year-old systems running another five summers. Sometimes a $400 fix beats a $8,000 replacement. Sometimes it doesn't. We'll tell you which.

AC running but not blowing cold? Before you call anyone, four things to check yourself.

1- Thermostat. Set to "Cool," not "Fan." Sounds obvious — it's the most common call we get all summer.
2- Filter. Pull it out. Hold it up to a light. Can't see through it? Swap it. A clogged filter can freeze the coil and shut the whole system down.
3- Outdoor unit. Leaves packed in? Grass overgrown? Clear two feet of space around it. The unit needs to breathe.
4- Breaker. Sometimes that's all it is.

Still not cooling after 20 minutes of run time? Now give us a call.

Don't wait for the first heat wave. ☀️
This week in the East Bay: sunny, 60s, basically perfect. Next month? We all know what's coming.
Spring is hands-down the best time to tune up your AC:
✅ Shorter wait times (we're booking same-week right now)
✅ Catch problems before they become emergencies
✅ Lower energy bills all summer
✅ Extends the life of your system
Don't be the person calling us at 4pm on a 95° Tuesday. 😅 Book your tune-up while the weather's still on your side.

Spring is Here – Is Your AC Ready for East Bay Heat? ☀️

Right now it's nice outside. But we all know what's coming—Brentwood and Antioch will be pushing 100°F before you know it.

April is the best time to get your AC checked:
✓ No waiting weeks for an appointment (summer gets crazy)
✓ Find problems now before they leave you sweating in June
✓ Most manufacturer warranties require annual maintenance to stay valid

A spring tune-up takes about an hour and includes checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils, testing electrical connections, and making sure everything's running efficiently.

Don't wait until the first heat wave when everyone else calls. Book your spring tune-up now.
