Keeping all that vintage goodness on the inlays means having to remove them when doing a refret. Reinstalling with a little Brazilian rosewood dust and fish glue means they can be removed safely and easily the next time around. #335

This 1952 Gibson J50 lived with a missing portion of its x-brace for a number of years. After removing the back and the rest of the old brace, I was able to make a new one, scallop and age it to match. It sounds WONDERFUL now! This guitar belongs to a long time luthier in Richmond, VA. I was humbled that he would trust me with his personal guitar.
