The Alliums have arrived! These drought-tolerant perennial beauties are pollinator magnets and also naturally resistant to deer. Making them a perfect addition to both urban gardens and large estates alike. They start blooming in May and last about month. Leaving behind equally stunning seed heads throughout the month of June.

Celebrating May Day in downtown Annapolis today! Every year, on the first day of May, residents and businesses decorate their doorways with baskets of fresh cut flowers. Sponsored by the Garden Club of Old Annapolis Towne, this local tradition began back in 1956 and we just love it! With so many wonderful baskets around town, we are honored to take home a blue ribbon this year!

Meet our newest CHLA West team member Jessica Hintze! Jessica graduated in 2005 with a degree in Ornament Horticulture, with an emphasis on Design from Utah State University. She has since worked as a landscape designer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jessica has a passion for sustainable landscape design, and native Utah plants and water use. Her camera roll is as full of pictures of her three boys as it is of plants and pollinators. In 2025, Jessica joined the Campion Hruby team as a project manager to help oversee a growing number of projects in the Greater Wasatch Region. In the summers you can find Jessica and her troop hiking, camping and mountain biking, and - occasionally - skiing. Jessica believes the best design is one the brings you into nature to be immersed in it and to be lost in its wonders. She loves to collaborate with clients to create a space they feel excited to steward.
