Black & White never goes out of style.

When ever I do renovations to my own home, I always check with my friend & realtor Kevin Brown | DMV Realtor to get his opinion first. He lets me know how the market is moving.

It's important to consider your long-term plan for a property before doing any major renovations. This is something we discuss with our customers before they pick their colors.

Is it your forever home? Get creative. If not, maybe its better to go with something classic, like this customer did, so when it is time to downsize (or upsize) you won't have any trouble finding a buyer.

P.S. Thanks Kevin for convincing me not to get a blue roof.

Not that there's anything wrong with a blue roof. I actually love them. But maybe the person I sell to won't have the same *ahem* artistic taste that I do.

Before, During, & After shots of an aluminum siding replacement done in Annapolis. We went back with Vinyl (Mastic Solar Defense - Natural Slate, Dutch Lap) & added house wrap & insulation to not only improve the comfort & energy efficiency of the home, but make it a little quieter.

A lot of houses from this era don't have house wrap (or insulation) which means they're leaking air like crazy. It also means that dust is finding it's way in. A properly insulated home will not only improve your energy bill, but actually keep out dust and other allergins, improving your health if your someone who suffers from seasonal allergies.

Here's another roof and siding project we just finished up in Arnold. This home was hit hard by the by the hail storm last summer. Thankfully, we were able to work with their insurance company to replace their entire roof and all of their siding.

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the Chesapeake Bay Trust "Treasure the Chesapeake" celebration as THE presenting sponsor.
