North Texas + our surrounding states are about to get hit with a big winter storm, so here’s a quick preparedness reminder, especially for anyone in a container home (and our jobsite friends too).

A little prep now saves a lot of problems later.

🏠 Container home quick checklist

• Protect your water: wrap exposed pipes, cover hose bibs, disconnect hoses, drip faucets if you’re on a well or have vulnerable runs
• Know your shutoffs: main water shutoff + breaker panel location (and label them if you haven’t)
• Heat + power: test heaters, swap batteries in thermostats, keep a safe backup plan if power drops
• Seal drafts: check door sweeps, weatherstripping, and any pass throughs around plumbing or minisplit lines
• Stock the basics: flashlights, charged power banks, bottled water, a few easy meals, pet needs

🏗️ For jobsites / facilities

• Secure loose materials and tarps
• Protect water lines and pumps
• Prep walkways, salt / sand, traction mats
• Set clear expectations for crews, no risky shortcuts
