Did you know the great Pyramids were one of the largest drystone constructions in the world? This picture is a test run for a concept called the "Egyptian Pulley". With 5 pullers, they were able to move 360 pounds at a 52 degree incline. The concept is the brain child of Greg's uncle Stephen Blakely. The concept is at www.egyptianpulley.com.

Since this demo was successful, the next test will include more weight and pullers (larger prototype).

We want to publicly thank the Daily Egyptian for coming down to cover the test run. They covered the initial run back in 2013, so it was only fitting that they be involved in the updated tests.

It’s not dry stone. But when my arms and backs (you know...low back, upper back and mid back) are tired, I can do these....

Instead of gutters (the easy way), dry stone walls to manage water and erosion. The pyramids were just for fun.🙂
