Ankeny Addition Post #4

Breaking ground is up next for this project. We had the plumber out to rough in the drain for the addition. We also dug for the foundation and poured the footing. Fast forward a few days and they poured the walls on top of the footing! Next on the agenda is the pad for the garage!

Ankeny Addition Post #3

Once we have gotten through the planning and design phase of our project we are able to get into the fun stuff. Breaking ground and turning our customers dream into reality.

Before breaking ground on this one we had to open up the side of the house and add a steel beam so that the existing garage would be open to the new garage we are adding on.

This took us about a day to open everything up, install the steel beam and make sure everything was secure and safe. Our next step in the process will be ground work and pouring the foundation.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!! Give us a call if you'd like to discuss a potential project at your house! 515-954-2247

Ankeny Addition Post #2

A big part of the planning process are the plans themselves. Our build plans (shown below) have several functions:
1. They are our plans to actually build the project (obviously)
2. We submit the plans to the city for approval of our permits.
3. They also insure we are within building codes and regulations.
4. Helps us with our cost estimation. Getting bids from subcontractors and helping to figure exactly how much material is needed.
5. It also helps in the coordination process with subcontractors and our own employees to ensure everyone (including the customers) is on the same page.

These plans allow our customers to have a visual of what their project could look like at the end of the project. It also allows for you to make changes well before work is being started at your house.

As we move along in this project if you have any questions feel free to ask!! Give us a call if you'd like to have us out to look at one of your projects!
