The other guys vs a Blue Iowa Pool, it's no contest!

All jokes aside this is a picture of a driveway hole filling with our inches of rainwater 😭 not a weird new 0 depth entry rock pool. BUT that is a real, and very beautiful Blue Iowa Pool on the right! We can't wait until this rain stops and we get back to some fall fun!! 💦🦩

Great review from Brooke... "I would not hesitate to CONTINUE to recommend Blue Iowa Pools to my friends. Livia and Gwen are amazing to work with! From the initial discovery call, to final ex*****on – communication was over the top and high touch. I was never left in the dark on next steps/updates. The system Livia uses is amazing, and you can always refer to the portal to check things out if in doubt or need a reminder. She is always a phone call or text away too.

My husband and I had an in-ground fiberglass pool, surrounded by concrete and fence, installed last year by another company. We wanted to take it up a notch and make the backyard something special. I had my initial discovery call with Livia late Dec/early Jan. Livia came back in a timely manner with landscape and hardscape concepts (including actual renderings so I could see the vision!). Due to septic and other considerations, the project would take extra thought, caution and overall patience. It was evident she heard me and listened to me during our first call. She presented amazing ideas that wowed me! She listened so well that there were no major revisions. From there she was off and pricing options keeping my budget in mind. She helped come up with ideas to allow me maximum impact/get the greatest bang for my buck. By springtime the job was done, and we have loved using our new spaces (that all connect seamlessly)!

Livia was patient with me as I painstakingly picked out just the right pavers and edgers as well as when I made changes on the fly. If she was annoyed, I would have no clue. Gwen dealt with my many plant/flower questions also never showing frustration with me.

Livia was present on the job site to ensure everything was going to plan, from start to finish with all the moving pieces to bring the project to life. And when things came up along the way, we worked through them and found solutions, together.

In summary the spaces Livia designed and had her team execute were two large paver patios, a large turf space, a pergola (with a hanging bed - great idea, Livia!), a walkway to our hot tub to connect all the spaces and plenty of landscaping. Everyone who has seen our backyard is incredibly complimentary. Kudos to Blue Iowa Pools.

As pool season is coming to an end, we are bummed to close the pool, but thanks to the beautifully designed spaces by Blue Iowa Pools, we have so many other outdoor areas besides the pool out back, to use throughout the fall.

We have another project planned for next year, and I look forward to working with Livia and her team again to bring that to life."

Drier days are ahead! ☀️ But until then, this is your reminder to check your water levels and make sure they're where they should be (mid-skimmer) with allll this rain we've gotten! Also a reminder to not forget about your pool, and test the chemistry as we go through weird weather spells like this.

Happy Labor Day! So often we think of this as being the "end of summer" and Iowa gets a rep for having a short swim season. But we all know that isn't true! We've got *weeks* of perfect pool weather ahead of us. And beautiful 2027 pools like this one to dream about watching college football in!

Happy International Dog day to these two office gems that keep us entertained, busy opening the door, safe from turtles and coyotes, and provide help with important design decisions.

Birdie is the woman in charge who we can't get out of the work trailer sometimes, and Bubba wasn't sure he was ready for his first day of school this morning - so he laid back down and took a nap instead. 🐶🐶
