In order to join the crane to the tower, we needed a strap. And that strap wasn’t going to put itself up there. I volunteered today to ride up 80’ and attach the strap and rappel down. My first time doing that. The landscape is beautiful from that viewpoint!

We did a little crane work today. Took down this 80’ antenna tower. The homeowner told he had it put up 48 years ago. He spent an entire day loosening the old bolts and putting new ones in their place so they would be easy to remove when we hooked up to the crane to lay it down. Looked easy, but Robert is a seasoned professional when running the crane.

We have had an opportunity to get out of town for a few jobs this season. Recently we traveled to Marshall, MI to remove a very tall (125’) and very large (12’ in circumference) oak tree that was located behind the house on a slope with about 8’ clearance from the house. Our crew rocked it in a day and a half and the homeowner was pleased with the outcome.

Hello June! Man! It’s been a hot second since I dropped a post and some pics of what we have been up to! So, my New Year’s resolution was to be more timely in getting to tasks such as “posting awesome pics on our company page”. Clearly procrastination is my middle name! But! That does not ring true when it comes to getting the job done and making our clients happy!

As we enter into a new season in our lives (empty nest), we have decided that a healthy balance of work and play is a good thing! So, for the past couple of years we have taken off to Florida to spend time with family down there and also putz around in our 48’ trawler (Argo).

That being said, we are NEVER far from doing tree work and in February we came home for a couple of weeks and knocked out a few tree jobs!

Even in the snow we get it done! Ironically, this job followed us for a bit as it was a struggle to get the whole stump ground down completely. The client was setting a new home and having a new concrete patio. We tried three times to go back and touch up a couple of high spots after the contractor leveled the ground and decreased the grade. There was always construction equipment blocking our ability to get back down to the stump. So, yesterday (finally!) we were able to get back in and finish it up! Our goal is to make sure our clients are completely satisfied even if we have to try three times and it ends up being 4 months later!

Peace ☮️ my friends as we share pics of a snow covered workday in February and fully appreciating that it is much nicer and it is June!
