Sometimes the problem isn’t hidden. It’s just been there so long nobody thought to question it.

This one wasn’t buried behind a wall. It was right there receptacles pieced together, wires crossed and crowded with no real plan behind any of it. Somewhere in that mess, a conductor got cut too deep during a strip. Just enough damage to kill the connection, and everything downstream of it just stopped.

No lights. No power. And no answer, because nothing about it looked broken from the outside.

We traced it back to the one connection doing all the damage, and fixed what should’ve been done right the first time.

Not everything wrong with a house is hiding. Sometimes it’s just never been looked at by someone who knew what they were looking at.

Right there. That’s what was tripping the breaker.

The homeowner had recently gone through some renovations. Soon after, they started having issues with the breaker tripping, no idea why.

We got in and found it, a wire punctured during the renovation work. Something as small as a nail with a plastic tag on it, driven right through the cable without anyone realizing. It sat there damaged, until it finally caused enough of a problem to trip the breaker.

A tripping breaker isn’t just annoying it’s a warning. Something small like this can turn into something big fast.

If your breaker keeps tripping and you don’t know why, don’t ignore it. Call us before it becomes a bigger problem.

Fire doesn’t start with flames. It starts with heat nobody’s watching.

This one was sitting at 126°C. Almost 259°F. Outside, on a panel, in plain sight — and still invisible, because heat like that doesn’t show itself. No smoke. No smell.

But something was trying to tell you. Things kept cutting out. Turning off when they shouldn’t. Working, then not working, like it couldn’t make up its mind. That’s not random. That’s a sign, and it usually gets ignored right up until it can’t be anymore.

We found the heat behind it before it got worse.

Power goes out. First hour, it’s fine — flashlights, a little inconvenience. Six hours in, your fridge is a problem. Twelve hours in, your well pump isn’t running, so there’s no water either. Storm damage takes days to clear sometimes, not hours.
A whole-home generator kicks on automatically before you even notice the power’s gone. No cords, no gas cans in the garage, no guessing.
We install and service Generac systems across Harnett County and beyond — Raleigh, Garner, wherever the job takes us. If you’ve been through one bad outage already, you know why people call us before the next one.

A year of this breaker tripping. Every time it rained, it’d go again. You get used to it. You stop noticing.

That breaker fed the outside light — the one with the sensor that kicks on when it gets dark. And it fed the shed, which wasn’t just a shed. That was her space. Her little office.

This time it didn’t trip and reset like always. It just didn’t come back.

No light outside. No power to the one place that was hers.

Turned out an underground wire had been damaged for a long time. Slowly. Quietly. Nobody could see it because it was buried.

Second photo is the fix. Sealed splice kit, made for underground, so it stays protected this time instead of failing again in silence.

A year of small trips before it finally gave out completely. That’s usually how it goes. It doesn’t announce itself. It just waits until you need it the most.

Found this junction box in a customer’s crawlspace last week buried behind insulation, splices just twisted together and taped, no wire nuts, no box cover. It had been arcing for who knows how long before it finally killed power to their oven.

This is more common than people think, especially in older additions or mobile homes where someone did a “temporary” fix years ago and never came back to finish it right.

We pulled it apart, re-terminated everything properly, boxed it up to code, and got their oven back online same day.

If your breaker trips for no reason, an outlet feels warm, or something in your house just stopped working out of nowhere get it looked at before it becomes a bigger problem.

We’re happy to take a look.
