Pool Electrical Project Completed! ⚡️🏊‍♂️

This project included installing two dedicated 20A circuits, both GFCI protected, running approximately 80 feet from the electrical panel to the pool area.

We also installed a #6 bare copper bonding conductor, tying together the required pool components, including:

🔌 Pool pump motor
🔗 Skimmer plate
🔗 Bonding bridge
🔗 Pool wall bonding

The #6 copper was installed around the perimeter of the pool, 6” off the pool wall and 4” deep, in accordance with code requirements.

The two dedicated circuits were buried 24” deep to provide power where it was needed while keeping the installation safe, organized, and up to code.

We replaced an outdated 1970s-era 125A, 16-space load center with a brand-new 125A, 16-space load center.

Not only is the new panel safer and up to date, but it’s also properly labeled—because knowing exactly what each breaker controls matters! 🔌

This project took about 3 hours to complete, and another customer can now enjoy a cleaner, safer, and more organized electrical panel.

We recently completed the electrical work for a swimming pool, including:

🔌 Ran two dedicated 20A circuits from the panel to a newly installed 4x4 wooden post
🔌 Installed two dedicated GFCI outlets — one for the pool pump and one convenient outlet for additional use

🏊‍♂️ We also properly bonded the swimming pool using bare #6 copper around the perimeter of the pool, installed 6” off the wall and 4” deep.

The bonding system included the skimmer plate, pool pump, and bonding bridge on the aluminum pool wall/framing post.

We installed a new 20-amp receptacle by tapping into an existing kitchen countertop circuit. This dedicated outlet provides power the customer’s new LED lighting above the kitchen cabinets, adding both style and functionality to their space.

- Replaced 2 outdated pendant lights over the kitchen sink with beautiful new pendants.

Another rough-in completed for McLeod Home Services, LLC. ! 🔨⚡

This phase of the project included:
• Installing (2) kitchen countertop receptacles
• Installing (1) outdoor receptacle with a weather-resistant bubble cover
• Installing (1) outdoor porch ceiling fan
• Installing (1) indoor ceiling light
• Installing a 2-gang switch, with one switch controlling the porch fan and the other controlling the indoor light

Replaced an existing 200A meter base combo after the customer experienced dangerous arc flashing caused by the main breaker bolts coming loose and separating from the bus bar. We installed a new Siemens 200A meter base combo, added a dedicated 25A 240V breaker for the A/C unit, and installed a whole-home Vortex surge protector to help safeguard the home’s electrical system from power surges.

Another home made safer with a reliable electrical upgrade. ⚡️🔧
