This post is a little different…just a humble & appreciative brag about our great teams.

There’s nothing quite like making a surprise visit to a job site and leaving with that proud feeling. Seeing our guys keeping the site as clean and organized as possible, taking care of materials, and doing things the right way even when no one is watching is something we never take for granted.

We’re looking forward to seeing this Stockade Flush Frame come together! Now we’re just keeping our fingers crossed that the rain gives us a little break so our guys can keep making progress. 🤞🏼

We love our supplier! Quality materials make all the difference.

This building in upstate Ny. was completed in 1991. The owner called and needed 2 replacement pieces of corner trim. When asked why, he said they were dented by vehicles and mowers.
For 36 years old, Looking Good. We sent trims and replacement screws. Happy to help! Thanks for the photo!

Breaking ground on another exciting project! 🏡🔨

Today we’re getting started on a 36’ W × 50’ L × 12’ H Stockade Flush Frame building, and there’s always something special about seeing a couple excited as their plans for a new home and shop start becoming a reality!

This project is especially meaningful because we’ve had the pleasure of building for one of their family members in the past. Having our name passed along within a family and being trusted with another project is one of the greatest compliments we can receive. ❤️

Many of our contracts are signed months before construction begins, which is why breaking ground day is an important part of our process.

Our Operations Manager meets with the homeowners one final time to review the prints, confirm the exact building location, and make any final adjustments to details like window or walk-door locations before construction gets underway.

We can’t wait to watch their new home and shop come together. 🏗️🏡

☀️ Happy Monday!

We’re kicking off the week with a little behind-the-scenes look at what goes into delivery day at Suburban Buildings!

🚛 Fun fact: We have deliveries from Stockade Buildings scheduled every Thursday! Every now and then, though, we get an OVERSIZE load that calls for a little schedule change…like last week when we welcomed Joe (our awesome Stockade driver) and a full load of building materials on a Friday!

Between our team and Stockade Buildings, we have over 20+ years of experience unloading building packages week after week. But delivery day is about a lot more than simply getting materials off the truck.

Before a building package ever arrives on site, our team has already:

✔️ Met with our customer to review their project
✔️ Created a site plan
✔️ Confirmed exactly where they want their materials unloaded
✔️ Contacted Kansas 811 before digging
✔️ Pulled the required building permit
✔️ Coordinated the delivery with Stockade Buildings

Once everything is unloaded, our team reviews the Stockade loading sheet and checks the delivered materials to make sure everything has arrived and is ready for construction.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before the first post ever goes in the ground. Proper planning on the front end helps us keep each project organized and moving in the right direction from delivery day to completion.

This is why we love a good FLUSH FRAME👏

This 24’W x 52’L x 10’H Stockade Flush Frame hunting shop is being built as a dedicated space for customers to clean and process their game after the hunt. 🦌

One of the biggest advantages of the Stockade Flush Frame system is what you DON’T have to do afterward. The interior framing is already designed with finishing in mind, saving additional material, labor, time, and money when it’s time for sheetrock.

With a traditional post-frame system, you might finish building your building… just to turn around and frame another building inside of it so you can hang drywall 😅.

Less framing. Less material. Less labor. More usable space!!!

Whether it’s a hunting shop, barndominium, garage, commercial building, or finished post-frame space, choosing the right framing system from the beginning can make a big difference in the final cost.

Happy Friday! 🏡

There’s something special about watching a set of plans on paper begin to take shape in real life.

This week, we officially broke ground on another custom home for a wonderful couple who recently retired and are ready to start their next chapter. From the first drawings to dirt work and concrete, we’re excited to watch their vision become a place they’ll soon call home.

We can’t wait to share the progress as this one comes to life!
