I went today to clean out the NHMS suite we're doing for EJ Prescott. This is before the painter works his magic. We need to come back once he sprays everything out lay the flooring and tile the backsplashes etc. This was a major renovation even though it looks cut and dry alot of design and behind the scenes work got put in. The trim is almost all pocket screwed and glued together to hopefully keep everything in place for the long hual. The suites are tricky to work on because theres alot of steel framing, structural steel, concrete, to deal with and they are designed to move so we need to ensure our work is fastened really well so it doesn't become a maintenance headache. Hopefully in the next month or so i can post a video of it all finished up! Per usual Erich Petty Painting is going to make everything look wonderful for us!

We finished another room in the media center at NHMS, the EJ Prescott suite is just about ready for paint aswell! This room was a fast 2-3 day project we hung shiplap and did the trim and enclosed a metal locker for the photographers to keep their cameras and things in. The artwork always makes these rooms look great in my opinion so kudos to whoever does that! As always Erich Petty Painting made out work look great!

I've had many customers ask how Cody Griffin is, what he's doing or even where's he's been, Cody has been working at his EMS/fire career for quite some time. He originally would work 40 hrs with me during the day and go to school multiple nights a week while juggling his family life in there aswell. Even with all that pressure and stress, Cody kept his positive attitude and just got it done. Some days he'd look exhausted but he was still on time to work and still did his job as good as always. Beyond proud of him even though I can't pick on him as frequently anymore!

We've been as busy as ever, we finished the shower on the hill job before Christmas, but are holding off on the remaining trim work for now, we also are framing a house in Alexandria in combination with a few jobs we have going at NHMS! We’re working on the interior of the garage/home we built in Hill. A lot of builders charge an extra cost to pre build trim kits and pocket screw them togther, we pretty much do this method any time we can it ensures a good tight joint and helps make our painters jobs easier aswell, now they can pre paint a coat ahead of time without the hassle of cutting in etc, if you are interested in the tools needed for this you can buy a cheap Kreg jig at the box stores and get started!

New kitchen cabinets we installed in Tilton, we removed the old kitchen took down the drywall to have new outlets installed, installed blocking for the cabinets, new drywall, home owners are priming/painting. Cabinets and the recommendation of us installing came from Cyr lumber in Tilton, if you have a kitchen or bath project go in and chat with the designers they have and get the ball rolling!

Home I’ve done a lot of work to, for repeat customers. The garage door is being replaced in the next few weeks so the old trim needed to be upgraded to PVC, the contractor that built the home just sucked for lack of better terms. They nailed down through the j-channel into the trim that was wrapped with coil stock. This creates a leak point that over the past 20 years has completely destroyed the header beam. This is the danger with using the cheapest bid or contractors without references and an established business. A simple retrim would have been a half day and like 8-900$ with materials, this now is unfortunately multiple days and much more money due to an inexperienced contractor making a mistake. Or perhaps an as***le who doesn’t care…either way if you’re going to do it try to do it properly, people work hard for their money and deserve to have a good product
