🔍 Storm Damage Inspection Results: Not Every Roof Needs Replacing

This roof sits right in the path of last Friday's storm.

So, what did I find during my inspection?

Absolutely no storm damage.

No hail damage. No wind damage. No insurance claim needed.

What I did find were a few areas of mechanical damage (likely from foot traffic or other non-storm related causes). The homeowners were understandably concerned after hearing all the reports about the storm, so I was happy to give them an honest assessment.

Then, before I left, I grabbed some sealant and sealed the damaged areas for them — completely free of charge.

Because that's what serving homeowners is supposed to look like.

Too often, homeowners tell me they've had contractors stop by and immediately tell them their roof is destroyed, the sky is falling, and they need to file an insurance claim right away.

That's not how we do business at Platinum Restoration.

Sometimes a roof needs to be replaced. Sometimes an insurance claim is warranted. And sometimes the best thing we can do is tell a homeowner:

This home in Madison was scheduled for a new roof installation next week.

Then last night's storm had other plans.

A large tree came crashing down onto the home, causing significant new damage to the roof, fascia, gutters, and exterior. The homeowners woke up to a situation no one wants to face.

But every now and then, we get to talk about the fun stuff too.

Platinum Restoration is proud to be the Premier Sponsor of the Be-Bops Car Cruisers Club Show for the 3rd year.

The first show kicks off May 13th at the Crystal VFW. It’s free to come check out the cars, and if you’ve got a ride you want to enter, it’s only $15 for the whole season.

The shows happen on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, so there are plenty of chances to come out.
