With temperatures predicted to hit below freezing tonight, remember to take these precautions to protect your pipes and your pockets.
Close your vents! Wind is the enemy, and as long as your pipes are protected from the wind you should be in the clear at these temperatures. If your vents don’t close, make sure to keep your kitchen and bathroom faucets dripping overnight. There are also universal vent covers that can be easily installed.
Our outdoor faucets rarely freeze, but we always recommend disconnecting your hoses, even if they’re “frost proof”. Lastly, don’t forget to cover your spigot with a styrofoam cover!
