Our guys took care of this septic tank at a house with a garbage disposal. Frequent use of a garbage disposal can lead to a large amount of FOG (fats, oils and grease) causing septic issues.

There are quite a few everyday tasks that can cause problems if not handled correctly.

A few do’s and don’ts of the septic world

DON’T: Pour cooking grease down your drain
DO: Let the grease sit until it’s hardened, then dispose of it in the garbage.

DON’T: Use traditional septic system additives. They are not recommended and have not been proven effective.
