THE STRUGGLE OF BEING MARRIED TO A CONTRACTOR! 🫠

TWO YEARS AGO, we had damage to our roof. Brandon threw some plywood over it and said those famous words “I’ll get to it.”

Well, apparently “I’ll get to it” meant TWO YEARS LATER!

While he’s been busy fixing everyone else’s homes, ours has been patiently waiting its turn.

But the day has FINALLY come! 🙌 Brandon has been replacing and reframing the entire front section of our roof! Drip edge and the start of shingles were started today.

All jokes aside, I’m incredibly proud of the work he does even if our own house is last on the list! 🖤

Ceiling repairs with texture matching to blend with the existing ceiling, Installation of a new pull down attic access ladder, Removal and replacement of all wood paneling throughout the garage and new trim throughout to finish everything off.

Today, we remember September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

Brandon was in fifth grade when his class gathered in his former third grade teacher’s room and watched the news throughout the day. I was in fourth grade at Stinesville Elementary when a television was wheeled into our classroom. We watched as our teachers hurried from room to room, trying to understand what was happening.

Although we were only children, those moments stayed with us. Today, the BOIC family remembers the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who courageously stepped forward.

Thank you to all who heroically responded that day and those who have responded ever since.

We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙
