Don’t take down your hummingbird feeders just yet!

As ruby-throated hummingbirds begin migrating south in late summer and early fall, your feeders can provide an important place to refuel along the way. Some may travel as far as 2,000 miles between their breeding and wintering grounds.

Keeping feeders up will not prevent hummingbirds from migrating—they know when it is time to leave. Continue providing fresh sugar water as long as the birds are visiting, and clean feeders with vinegar and hot water at least once a week.

HEADS UP!
Andalusia Gardens will be closed for vacation from September 8-14th. We will be in town, so if you REALLY need to contact Carlos, go right ahead,or if you need a U-Haul rental we will get you situated.

We will be enjoying the butterflies and hummingbirds who love the Mexican Petunias and Texas Sage right from our backyard porch (I am too lazy for hummingbird feeders). We will miss you all (a little bit lol) for real!!

Carlos planted this hidden garden last summer.
Alocasia Portora, Ice Cream Banana among a winding brick road that leads to nowhere. This garden hides the big ac unit system. Maintenance free plants only. You’ve got to come see the whole garden!
