Three decades at Pinner and a well-deserved promotion! 🎉

Steve Myers’ promotion to Vice President of Preconstruction coincides with his incredible 30-year milestone with our company, reflecting the loyalty, commitment and relationships that have defined his career.

During those three decades, Steve has played an increasingly important role in the growth and evolution of Pinner’s Preconstruction capabilities. His expertise in estimating, conceptual budgeting, bid strategy, value engineering, subcontractor relationships and project buyout has helped establish many of the daily practices our teams rely on.

Steve’s impact extends well beyond estimates and numbers. His institutional knowledge, willingness to support project teams and commitment to sharing his experience have made him an invaluable resource throughout Pinner. He has helped develop our people, strengthen relationships and bring thoughtful leadership to increasingly complex projects and delivery methods.

“I’m grateful for the meaningful projects, talented colleagues and trust Pinner has given me,” he shared while reflecting on his career.

We are excited to announce the promotion of Miguel Cerritos to Quality Control Manager! 👏

Over the past two years with Pinner Construction, Miguel has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality on every project. His dedication, professionalism and drive for continuous improvement have made a lasting impact on our team and our clients.

Miguel said he believes quality management is about more than identifying issues—it’s about being proactive. “An effective QC Manager can look ahead for issues and have them resolved early to keep the job moving,” he said.

He also emphasizes the importance of collaboration, noting that “The QC Manager can work with the team to develop solutions for differing site conditions or design challenges in advance of installation that comply with code requirements and help prevent delays.”

"Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge." – Simon Sinek

That philosophy is reflected in the careers of two outstanding leaders at Pinner Construction.

Please join us in congratulating Frank Ibarra and David Torres on their promotions to Associate Vice President!

What makes this milestone especially meaningful is that both Frank and David began their careers at Pinner in Project Engineer roles and have grown into executive leadership through years of dedication, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to serving our clients and supporting our teams.

Throughout their careers, they have led by example—developing people, solving complex challenges, and consistently delivering exceptional projects. Their success is a testament to what can be accomplished when talented individuals embrace opportunities, take ownership, and invest in those around them.

As David shared:
"What I value most is the collaborative environment. The ability to work alongside driven individuals who are committed to finding solutions and supporting one another makes a big difference. That culture of teamwork is what allows us to consistently overcome challenges and deliver for our clients."

Frank's advice to the next generation of leaders is equally fitting:
"Stay curious and take ownership of your work. The construction industry rewards people who are dependable, embrace challenges, and consistently follow through."

Congratulations, Frank and David. Thank you for your leadership, your commitment to developing others, and the positive impact you continue to make across our company. We look forward to watching your leadership continue to make a lasting impact on our people, our clients, and the future of Pinner Construction.

Progress is accelerating at LAUSD's $220 million Abraham Lincoln High School Comprehensive Modernization!

This summer marks a major milestone as multiple construction packages advance simultaneously across campus. Our teams are working around the clock to deliver critical improvements, including the new buildings while also preparing for the final phase of modernization.

The summer sprint is focused on positioning the campus for an exciting transition.

Students and faculty will soon enjoy a next-generation learning environment with the new Classroom Building, modernized Home Economics Buildings, and the Temporary Use Building that will house the final phase of the Learning Village and Administrative teams, allowing modernization of the existing Administration Building and construction of the new M&O Building to begin.

Delivering a complex, occupied campus modernization of this scale requires extraordinary planning, coordination and teamwork. A sincere thank you to our dedicated field teams, trade partners, design consultants, LAUSD, and the many others whose collaboration continues to make this transformation possible.

Together, we're building spaces that will serve generations of students for decades to come.
