We don’t mess with rental crews or “jack-of-all-trades” guys.

We have specialized teams in scaffolding, pre-lathe, mixing, cement gunning, plastering, finishing...

With 800+ crew members we don’t have to rely on rental crews and hope they get the job done right.

Pay Attention!
My crews know that their work is just as valuable as their input.

They know that they’ll be listened to and taken seriously.

I started leading this company through something called “servant leadership.” And since then, we’ve created a culture that allows employees to provide input on ways to make things better.

Attention to detail is more than the materials you use.

It’s how you go about each day to get there.

It’s how you treat your employees and how they show up for the job (and for you).

Protect your crew and value their input.

There’s no other way if you want to have a business that grows when others are failing.

The fact that we have one of the highest retention rates for employees isn’t by chance.

There are generations of tradesmen working for us. Fathers and sons, Uncles and Nephews— most of the older generation have been with us for decades.

That only happens when you create an environment that shows your team you respect and value them.

My crew knows, without any doubt, that I want them to go home in the same shape they came to work in.

Communication is how we get it done, everyday.

It’s not always easy.

Construction is physically hard work and it wares your body down over time.

I have to make sure that doesn’t affect the crew or their results.

So I found ways to drive their ability to think, innovate, and inspire others around them

1- We teach, we don’t tell.
2- We have morning huddles to stretch and make a plan for the day.
3- We have EOD huddles to decompress, recognize achievements, and find room for improvement.

Everyone is involved in these huddles and the discussion so they know they’re not just a number, but a valuable member of our team.

The most skilled construction workers are the ones that have a desire to learn and grow.

They’re the ones that show up first every day.

The ones that ask questions, and then act.

Skill isn’t what you already know, it’s what you’re willing to learn from someone that’s been where you are.

We don’t tell our workers how to be good at what they do, we teach them how to be great.

We expect mistakes and encourage communication so we can learn from the situation and help raise the bar for the next day.

When a crew member says they messed up, you can fix it. If they don’t think they can talk with you, maybe you’ll never know or maybe it’ll cause more issues down the road.

Skill is learned from communication and willingness to be better than you were the day before. It’s also borne out of a desire to learn and grow.

Mastery comes from practice, experience, learning and growing..

What’s this blocking my scaffolding!?!

Oh those? Just a builder's biggest dream come true!

You want to improve your turnaround time...but can’t get started.

The simple fix is increasing your worker’s productivity.

This is where we introduce Catwalk Scaffold Stairs and add up to 5 people on the stairs at once, safely, and in compliance with OSHA 30!

We ran a side -by-side test with two guys one the ground. One used the hatch ladder and the other used Catwalk Scaffold Stairs.

The guy on the Catwalk Scaffold Stairs was on the 6th platform before the guy using the hatch ladder system even broke past the 2nd platform.

See quiet. See a space for peace and reflection before the day starts. Begin to imagine the possibilities for your life (business, family), and sit with those thoughts.

People that take time to pause and dream are infinitely more successful than those that just keep pushing forward without reflecting on where they’ve been.

Your home, Your safety, Your family...that’s what inspires us.

This right here, this is what it’s all about. Not just today, but every day, this crew is my family.

That’s not some fluffy marketing stuff either. These are my people. I care about them and their families because they’re an important part of my life.

Without the time and dedication they give day after day, Trencore & Brix wouldn’t be where it is. I couldn’t do any of this without a team behind me. A team that pushes me to perform at a higher level.

The Trencore & Brix team, my wife, my kids, my family, and everyone else that works behind the scenes to allow me to be better.

The truth about toxic work environments. ⇩ ⇩ ⇩

If you want your people to stay with you and perform at their best, you have to take care of them.

The crew needs to know that they’re going home in the same condition they showed up to work in. I know that sounds crazy to some of you, but the crew doesn’t spend all day on the ground.

When you’re working on 6 and 7 story buildings, things get tricky, and you need to make sure your crew’s bodies can handle the job.

We have required morning huddles before each shift starts. We talk about the goals for the day, what everyone’s assignments are and what’s expected of them.

And most importantly, we stretch. It wakes the body up and keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy. That way they’re less likely to injure themselves throughout the day.

Friendly tip: You should stretch before you start your day too…
