Our team had the best time at this year’s PRO New England's Youth Remodeling Career Day!

We met with many enthusiastic students who participated in our two activities: The Staircase Challenge and The Hand Tool Matching Game. Building up to create the perfect in-law suite addition ⬆️

In conjunction with a whole-home remodel, the Greenleaf Reno project also included a second-story addition. Our clients were looking to add extra square footage for relatives and guests to stay when visiting. To make this happen, we razed the attached garage down to the foundation and rebuilt it within the same footprint, this time with an additional living space above.

The second floor features an open-concept living room and kitchenette, a bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom, a small office, and a pantry/laundry closet. Since our clients are transplants to the area, having a separate space for family and friends to stay when visiting was a game-changer. The addition also doubles as a private office space when they work from home.

Introducing the Greenleaf Reno!

After living in their historic Newburyport home for a few years, our clients learned what worked and what did not, and came to us to make the space their own. The original layout felt awkward and cramped, and the kitchen was especially small for a young family of four. They also wanted additional space for relatives and guests to stay when visiting.

To start, we demolished the connecting garage down to the foundation and rebuilt it with a second-story, in-law suite addition. We later moved into the main house, removing several walls, a central fireplace, and a narrow staircase to expand the kitchen and open it up to the living room. On the second floor, we reconfigured the original primary suite footprint to also include a hallway, laundry room, and nursery.

The end result was a beautifully remodeled home that blends the old with the new and better suits our clients' lifestyle. Keep watching for an inside look!

Yesterday, we were happy to once again sponsor and participate in the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center's Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence 💜

It was a perfect day to come together and support a worthy cause. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we thank everyone who walked and donated. The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center is dedicated to empowering individuals and engaging communities to end domestic violence. They offer a variety of services, including:

- Free, comprehensive services that support adult and child survivors as they heal from the trauma of domestic abuse.
- Programs in schools that teach students how to lead conversations about healthy relationships, recognize signs of an abusive relationship, and become empowered to make positive and healthy decisions.
- Tools and strategies to reduce domestic violence homicides.
- A 40-week program certified by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for people who use violence in an intimate relationship.

We’re back at the Great Neck Pool House! 💦

To better enjoy their coastal location, our clients were looking to install a pool and a pool house on their Ipswich property. We approached this new build a little differently, using concrete walls built into the side of a hill. Most recently, the custom 18-ft-wide NanaWall doors have been installed, the bathroom tile is in place, and the drywall is up.
