Jackson's only raced this track one other time earlier this year and didn't do well at all. He's been saying he wanted to go back to get it figured out but it hadn't worked out schedule wise until this weekend. It was a last minute decision to go, dad literally had nothing ready, and sister Em had a prior commitment so her and mom weren't able to go. Given the haul that it is to Brookings, dad didn't want to take the trailer so the kart was broken down and the bare necessities were packed into the truck bed. We are fortunate enough to have an amazing race family that helped make this possible: Paul Manderfeld let the boys pit out of his trailer, Lisa Manderfeld stepped in as race mom providing snacks and videograpghy skills of Jackson's races for his YouTube page, and Kyle Manderfeld came in clutch (as always) being an awesome role model, mentor, and friend to Jackson. We are so blessed to have such awesome friends in our lives!
