🍂⚡ FUN FACT FRIDAY! ⚡🍂

Did you know trees and plants have their own electrical signaling systems?

Just like our bodies use electrical impulses to send messages, plants use tiny electrical signals to respond to changes in their environment!

When a plant is damaged or stressed, electrical signals can travel through its tissues and help activate its natural defenses. 🌳🍃

Who knew there was so much electrical activity happening right in our own backyards?

Nature really is electric! ⚡💛

🎃⚡ We hope your fall is going a little better than our pumpkins'! 😂🍂

They started October looking sharp, but apparently spooky season has already taken its toll! 💀🤣

Thankfully, our electrical work holds up better than our pumpkin carvings! ⚡

🍁 Fall is Here, and So Are Some Electrical Safety Reminders!

As the temperatures drop, the rain returns, and Halloween decorations start popping up, it's a great time to make sure your home's electrical system is ready for the season!

🔥 Space Heaters: Never plug portable space heaters into extension cords or power strips. Always plug them directly into a wall outlet, keep them at least 3 feet from flammable materials, and turn them off when leaving the room or going to bed.

🏠 Wall Heaters: Before turning on those electric wall heaters for the season, check for dust buildup and keep furniture, curtains, and other items clear. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions, and have a professional inspect heaters showing signs of overheating or damage.

🎃 Halloween Decorations: Inspect lights and cords for damage before plugging them in. Make sure outdoor decorations and extension cords are rated for outdoor use, and avoid overloading outlets.

🌧️ Outdoor Outlets: With our Pacific Northwest rain returning, make sure outdoor receptacles have proper weatherproof covers and GFCI protection.

⚠️ Don't Ignore the Warning Signs!

Flickering lights, outlets that feel unusually warm, burning smells, buzzing sounds, or breakers that repeatedly trip can indicate electrical problems. Don't ignore them! Small issues can sometimes turn into much bigger and more expensive problems if left unaddressed.

Our neighbors over at All Seal in Yacolt are putting on their Haunted Forest this month!

We love seeing other local businesses in our area putting together fun events for the community, so we wanted to help spread the word. 🧡

Even better — bring at least 2 unexpired cans of food and you’ll save $5 on admission, with the donations benefiting the local food bank.

Our daughter picked out her lightning-themed outfit, grabbed herself a bottle of Quantum… and even her pumpkin looks like it got shocked. ⚡🎃😂

We swear Next Phase Electric had nothing to do with the damage. 😉

🍂 Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

Yacolt Oktoberfest is happening this Saturday, October 3rd from 10 AM–3 PM at Yacolt Town Square!

There’ll be food, contests, an outdoor market, kids’ activities, sweet treats, a b**r garden, and plenty of fall fun throughout town. 🎃🍁
