This week's Fun Fact Friday is a little more personal for us. ❤️⚡

Tim Curry has been a favorite in our house for as long as we can remember. Jeff and I grew up loving so many of his movies, and to this day Home Alone 2 is one we especially love because of him. In fact, his wonderfully dramatic “I love you!” as Mr. Hector became such a running joke in our family that Jeff and I still regularly say “I love you” to each other the same way. 😂

In 2019, we were lucky enough to meet Tim Curry at Rose City Comic Con in Portland — and we couldn't exactly show up in ordinary clothes. 😂 Robin went as Athos, Jeff as Aramis, and I went as my favorite, Porthos. I even drew on a beard and somehow ended up looking remarkably like my older brother. Lily completed our group as Queen Anne. Getting to meet Tim while dressed as characters from The Three Musketeers made an already special experience even more memorable.

So after hearing of his passing this week, it felt only right to make this week's electrical Fun Fact a tribute to one of his most iconic characters: Dr. Frank-N-Furter. ⚡

From Rocky Horror to Home Alone 2, Clue, The Three Musketeers and so many more, he gave us characters we'll keep watching, quoting and laughing at for years to come.

Rest in peace, Tim Curry. ❤️

Peter Cullen voiced a character that meant a lot to an entire generation — including my brother.

In fact, thanks to this man, my brother was apparently disappointed when I was born because he wanted his favorite Transformer instead. 😂

Sorry I couldn't transform, bro. I did eventually end up with an electrician though, so at least there's plenty of power around here. ⚡😂
