Hard Hat Safety in Action!

At this week's safety meeting, we put hard hats to the test by dropping heavy tools on a watermelon—with and without head protection.

The lesson was clear: Protect your head. With more than 100,000 occupational head injuries reported each year and studies showing that 84% of workers who suffered impact head injuries were not wearing head protection, hard hats remain one of the simplest and most important pieces of PPE on the job.

Don't leave safety to chance—wear your hard hat every time.

Big milestone at the new Vitel Communications office and warehouse in Amarillo!

The wood framing is complete and the membrane roof is now on, so the building is officially dried in and ready for the next trades to roll.

Spray foam insulation kicks off tomorrow to tighten up the envelope just in time for summer heat.

In about two weeks, the installation of the sheetrock is scheduled to start inside and the exterior metal wall panels will go up outside, so the look of the building will change fast…..no more Big Green Monster!

Our electrical work is absolutely impeccable – exactly the level of detail we expect for the kind of systems we design and install for our clients. Thank you Cornerstone Electric!

The jobsite is also cleaner than it has ever been, thanks to our in‑house “housekeepers,” Mike and Mason, who are working hard to keep everything organized and safe out there.

We are very proud of this new building and cannot wait to see the finished product and welcome our customers, partners, and friends into the new space.

Vitel Communications — Jobsite Update
Our new Office/Warehouse Facility is really coming together — the exterior is mostly dried in, the second floor wood framing is nearly complete, the roof hatch is installed, air handler curbs are installed, and the roof going on this week.
We’re proud to report every crew member is working safely and that the craftsmanship on site is impeccable — great work by the whole team.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Second-floor concrete is poured, cured, and ready for foot traffic at Vitel's new office and warehouse facility, and the view from up top is pretty awesome!
Construction is progressing smoothly, the core of the building is really coming together, and the whole structure is finally starting to take shape.
We’re grateful for all of the construction crews who continue to work safely every day on site, keeping quality high while pushing the project forward.
The weather has been just about perfect for construction this week, which makes it an ideal time to be up on that new second floor seeing the future home of Vitel from a whole new angle.

BIG Project Update!!!!! Things Are Really Coming Together!!!!!
Our new office and warehouse facility is progressing at a lightning-fast pace, and we couldn’t be more excited! The fence is now complete on the south end of the property, and crews are making steady progress on the east side as well.
On the build side, the warehouse portion is mostly dried in, and the office side is just about ready for the concrete pour on the second floor. Wood framing is looking great, and the electrical rough in is coming along nicely.
A huge shout out to our friends at Cornerstone Electric for electrifying our new facility—your team’s professionalism and attention to safety are exactly what this project deserves.
This project is a perfect example of what can happen when skilled trades, clear communication, and a shared commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and safety all work hand in hand. Proud to see our new home coming together so smoothly!
