Vines may look beautiful, but over time they can cause significant damage to brick and mortar.
Vines use tiny aerial rootlets, or holdfasts, to grip brick and mortar. Those little attachments can leave behind stubborn material, trap moisture, and damage the surface over time. As the vine grows and expands, it can accelerate deterioration and create additional maintenance issues for homeowners.
For this project, our team carefully removed the material left behind by the vine and properly prepared the brick for painting, helping create a clean, long-lasting finish.
Disclaimer: We did not tear down, remove, or kill any living plants or vines on this property. Our work was limited to removing the residual material left on the brick after the vine had already been removed and preparing the surface for painting.
