Friday marked more than the start of construction—it marked a meaningful step forward for seniors across Volusia County.

On April 17, Team Wendover proudly joined Volusia County to celebrate the construction commencement of Bristol Manor, an 80-unit affordable senior community in Orange City that will expand access to safe, stable housing for one of our most vulnerable populations.
This milestone is part of Volusia County’s Transform386 initiative, a critical effort to rebuild and strengthen communities following the impacts of Hurricane Ian—ensuring long-term resilience and opportunity for residents across the region.

At Wendover, we believe housing is the foundation for well-being. Bristol Manor is thoughtfully designed to support seniors not just with affordability, but with dignity, connection, and daily enrichment—from wellness and activity spaces to opportunities for community engagement and independence.

In a state where the need for affordable housing continues to outpace supply—particularly for seniors living on fixed incomes—projects like this are essential. And they don’t happen alone. This moment reflects the strength of partnership between public leadership, private development, and a shared commitment to serve.

We’re proud to stand alongside Volusia County and our partners in bringing this vision to life—and even prouder of what this community will mean for the residents who will one day call Bristol Manor home.

This is how we grow with purpose. This is The Wendover Way.

Purpose. Teamwork. Impact.

Team Wendover was proud to participate in the Lilies on the Green Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by Lady Serita A. Jakes through the T.D. Jakes Foundation—and even more honored to walk away with a 1st place finish.

But this day was about far more than golf.

Lilies on the Green supports the Distinctively Debutantes Program, a transformative initiative that mentors young women ages 10–17—equipping them with leadership skills, financial literacy, academic support, and life tools that create lasting pathways to success. Proceeds from the tournament help fund scholarships and expand access to these opportunities, directly investing in the next generation of leaders.

This mission aligns deeply with who we are at Wendover.

We believe strong communities are built by creating opportunity, supporting growth, and investing in people—especially the next generation. To stand alongside partners and organizations committed to that same purpose is something we take seriously.
And yes… a little friendly competition never hurts.

Congratulations to our team for bringing home the win, and more importantly, for showing up in a way that reflects The Wendover Way—with purpose, teamwork, and heart.
We’re grateful to be part of something bigger.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we're here to help spread the word. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, but it's also one of the most treatable when caught early. That's why it's so important to get regular mammograms and screenings. Here are some things you can do to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

• Get a mammogram. If you're over 40, talk to your doctor about getting a mammogram every year.
• Encourage your friends and family to get mammograms.
• Donate to a breast cancer research or support organization.
• Wear pink! Wearing pink is a great way to show your support for breast cancer awareness.

Developing our physical strength along with mental confidence goes a long way to keeping our bodies healthy. So many of us overlook the rest we need and the healthy foods our bodies need to fuel our days. When we take a few moments to learn the best ways to care for ourselves, we often take better care of others, too.
