These chandelier orbs strung throughout the entry add just the right architectural statement, but installations like this actually require a great deal of precision behind the scenes. The hanging heights had to be carefully planned so they felt balanced within the tall ceiling space — not too low and not too high.

Which is exactly why we created this beautiful wood tongue-and-groove ceiling — allowing the rich natural texture to sharply contrast the colorful lantern chandelier.

From a construction standpoint, details like this ceiling require careful planning long before the finishes are installed. Everything from ceiling height transitions and material expansion to lighting placement and alignment must be accounted for early to ensure the final result feels seamless.

While it may not be immediately noticeable, there was a lot of planning that went into this wall trim detail.

See that thinner section that meets the wall? Notice how it’s exactly the same width as the other thin section, separated by the larger center panel. That pattern continues seamlessly all the way across the room.

In order to make everything feel balanced and intentional, we actually did quite a bit of math behind the scenes to ensure there wouldn’t be any awkward or uneven trim sections at the end.

It’s one of those subtle details most people may never consciously notice — but it’s exactly what makes a custom home feel polished, thoughtful, and elevated.
