Timber Frame Craftsperson
Ward Timber Frames is seeking motivated, hardworking individuals to join our team in a full-time position. Based primarily in our shop in Alstead, New Hampshire, this role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys hands-on work, and values being part of a collaborative team.
The majority of the work is performed in our shop, where team members cut joinery, apply finishes, and test-fit critical frame components to ensure precision and quality. Every project is a collaborative effort, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, consistency, communication, and attention to detail.
At Ward Timber Frames, employees are involved throughout the entire timber framing process—from design and joinery cutting to finishing, shipping, handling, and on-site frame raising. This comprehensive approach provides the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills while seeing each project through from concept to completion.
Periodic overnight travel, typically for up to one week at a time, is required to support on-site frame er****ons. Few experiences are as rewarding as watching a structure come together and seeing the results of your craftsmanship take shape.
Our team uses a combination of modern power tools and traditional hand tools to produce high-quality timber frames that reflect both precision and time-honored craftsmanship.
