Next thing is to add felt strips on the bottom perimeter of the top to sandwich the wire between the felt, it keeps things from rattling.
This is all kind of tedious work but if you don't do it and get vibration noise, it's too late.

Had to make a new roof frame for the Packard 2 door sedan. Everything on the top has to be covered with sound absorbing material where it meets metal to prevent rattling. Hobby Lobby sells sheets of self adhering felt, which is perfect for the job. I don't know why it should be, but fitting it and installing it is kind of fun.

I just got this 1932 Packard 900 in. It's the same as the one I just finished, only a 2-door instead of a 4-door. Basically the same things are wrong with it, bad sills and a caved in roof
