We jumped into action and built beds and got seeds in the ground in 2 weeks. Zone 6a. I am learning to be a gardener not only in 1 climate zone but 2. We had a family garden for a few years 10 years ago. We had moderate success but life got in the way and I did not invest the time to learn and research how to be a better gardener. I now have spent many hours reading and watching YouTube videos. My friends and family are probably tired of hearing about my garden and what I am learning. I have found joy and peace returning to the garden. However, my son is a senior in high school and this time we have spent together has been a mother's dream. We have worked hard building beds, moved a lot of dirt, raised cattle panels, driplines, shade, starting seeds indoors, and planting in the beds. I watched his amazement when he was surprised how small carrot seeds are and how much force it takes to pull up radishes. But the time we have spent together working, planning, and talking has been priceless. He is an amazing young man that is hardworking, smart, and funny. This also would not be possible without a husband that has stepped in to help and patiently let us take over the backyard. My other sons have also assisted in this garden when time allows. I love my family
