🌊 THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT SEASON! 🌿

As the 2026 pond management season comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our customers for another great year!

This season definitely kept us on our toes! From the heavy rains and changing water conditions to the summer heat and everything Mother Nature threw our way, every season brings its own challenges. But that's part of what we love about what we do!

Owning and operating a small business isn't always easy, but having great customers who continue to trust us with their ponds and lakes makes it all worthwhile.

A Trillion Gallons Of Rain?!? Multiple clusters of heavier storms will blast across the state of OHIO in the week ahead. This map is a model blend that depicts widespread totals of 1-3” of rainfall across the entire state Sunday night through Wednesday.

If this verifies, that would be roughly 1.55 TRILLION gallons of rain in about 72 hours across Ohio! 💦🤯

Soaking rounds of rain would be great for most farm fields and agricultural land spread over several days, however localized flooding and flash flooding are a concern if rainfall happens too quickly, in repeated areas or urban locations. ⛈️🌽

With the amount of rain we’ve had, runoff has been pushing a heavy nutrient load into many ponds and lakes — which fuels filamentous algae growth fast. We’ve been out algae treating as aggressively and responsibly as conditions allow, but Mother Nature has had other plans some weeks.
You may also notice we haven’t been applying heavy pond dye applications in certain ponds lately. That’s intentional. In many cases, water has been moving through systems so quickly that dye would simply wash right out the overflow and down the drain. We’d rather be honest and strategic with treatments than waste product and your money.
The good news: As soon as we get a more stable weather window, Pond Control Services will be right back at it full force. We’re monitoring conditions daily and adjusting treatment plans to get the best possible results for every property.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during one of the wetter spring seasons Northeast Ohio has seen in a while. Stay tuned — we’re on it. 💪🌿💧
