Next round of vanilla extract loading! I'll leave this to age for 12 months, however it will be usable in 5-6 months.

I use bourbon for my extract as I love the barrel characteristics it imparts, however I drank this Angel's Envy for the pure joy and kept the bottle for the beauty. Used a different bourbon for the extract itself 😉

What liquor should I use next? Vodka or rum?

Yesterday we were blessed to receive a ton of well loved canning supplies. Mama HoopStem is excited to sort, wash and start canning!!

Its Peach season!

The orchards were hit hard this year with a late freezer but we were still able to score some of Mama HoopStem's favorite summer fruit

Peach jellies and jams on hand to taste sunshine all year long!

Using the garden's bounty to make refrigerator pickles is always something I look forward too!

Refrigerator pickles are not canned in a traditional, heat based sense, so I'm able to SAFELY use my half gallon jars.

Cucumbers, dill, garlic, mustard seed, coriander and garlic - all harvested directly from the homestead - make this such a fulfilling project!
