Emergency waterline replacement in Center City Allentown 🚧💧

ASRE, LLC teamed up with Allentown Plumbing & Heating and Alpha Omega Plumbing to handle the excavation and site work for an emergency waterline repair at a local apartment complex.

From saw cutting and demo to excavation, utility exposure, stone base, and restoration prep — this one was all about quick response, careful work, and solid teamwork.

A beautiful patio should stay beautiful—even if concrete does what concrete naturally does.

This project features a Slate Gray integral color, a seamless slate texture, and one of our favorite finishing techniques: random control cuts.

Most people think the random cuts are purely for appearance—and they absolutely create a natural stone look. But they also serve a much bigger purpose.

Concrete is going to move over time. While we take every step possible to minimize cracking, no contractor can guarantee concrete will never crack. That’s where the beauty of this design comes in.

If a crack ever develops outside of the original control joints, we can use the same tooling and pattern to extend the random cut design and incorporate that crack into the existing layout. Instead of an obvious crack across your patio, it simply becomes another intentional part of the pattern.

It’s one of the biggest advantages of a random-cut decorative concrete design:
