🚧 Garden Path Revival 🚧

Swipe left to witness the incredible journey of our Garden Path's revival! 🛤️ From weary to wondrous, we've embarked on a mission to restore and elevate this beloved walkway.

Phase 1: Renewing the Foundation
Bid adieu to the weathered stone pavers of yesteryears! With precision, we've carefully lifted them, safeguarding their stories for a spectacular resurgence. Bordering plants are nestled away, prepared to re-embrace the rejuvenated path. 🌱

Phase 2: Crafting the Base
The moment of excavation has arrived! Descending to an 8-inch depth, we've cleared approximately 40 cubic yards of soil and sand foundation. The canvas is set, primed for durability and environmental stewardship.

Central to the transformation is a permeable foundation, showcasing a layer of No. 57 stone followed by a snug No. 8 stone bedding. Concrete edges stand sentinel, ensuring pavers remain steadfast for years to come. 💧

Phase 3: The Grand Reunion
Original pavers find a second chance at life! After a thorough cleansing, they are thoughtfully repositioned on the new foundation, breathing life into the cherished pattern that once graced our Garden Path.

This innovative permeable base not only manages rainwater but guarantees unwavering longevity, preserving memories for generations. 🌊

Phase 4: Shielded Elegance
As we near completion, a protective shroud is tenderly placed over the neighboring natural stones, safeguarding their allure during the transformation.

Guided by the skillful hands of our dedicated hardscape team, led by an adept Project Manager and Designer Patrick Moran, our Garden Path now stands as a living testament to the strength of restoration and the finesse of metamorphosis. 🌟

Tis the season for a front yard makeover!

Swipe right for the transformation!! 🤩This was a fun project for a awesome new client! We went in knowing we had to reboot the look and feel of the front yard.

First things first, water was leaking into the basement store room, and it needed some TLC to square it away.

Step 1, we did a complete repoint of the front stoop and it’s foundation, which had degraded badly behind an old Eunoymous.

But to get access, we first removed the shrubs that had outgrown the space. We then proceeded with a labor intensive and thorough repair of the bring joints.

No more water!

We moved into the design by installing a beautiful array of specially sourced climbing Camelias, boxwoods, hollies, and azaleas.

We refreshed the turf area with new sod, and capped it off with pine bark mulch.

The result was beautiful!

Tight joints!

We loved this opportunity to provide additional value to one of our favorite clients. Following up on our last post, asked us to look at his rooftop patio for repointing and solve a water leak in the garage.

After a consultation, we found the problem in the party wall!

The team did a great job removing the loose mortar and installing new mortar. It pops and will stand strong for years to come!

Our MVP TLC Specialist, Justin, did a fabulous job earlier this week by repointing the front stoop of one of our wonderful clients in Old Town, Alexandria. Meanwhile, James pressure washed the stair and walkway as part of the very important preparation process.

To ensure we bring out the true beauty of this brick porch, we always color match mortar after cleaning it to ensure the new mortar blends beautifully with the original. Don’t settle for less!

Hardscape projects are some of our favorites! This specific project included the installation of a beautiful flag stone walkway and landscape improvements done with the help of our favorite native clover seed mix. 🍀 Our team had such a great time with this project and we are thrilled to shared # the final photos of the project!
