JSD was proud to once again sponsor the Badger Childhood Cancer Network's Fishing for Families Bass Classic—an event that brings the community together in support of families facing childhood cancer and life-threatening blood disorders.

We’re especially proud to recognize JSD Vice President / Project Consultant Kevin Yeska, PLA, who has served as Tournament Director for more than a decade. Through his leadership, along with the support of volunteers, anglers, sponsors, and community partners, the tournament welcomed 85 boats and 170 anglers who raised approximately $48,000 for the Badger Childhood Cancer Network. These dollars will help provide critical financial and emotional support to families throughout Wisconsin during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Football season is officially here—and JSD is already on the field. Our team kicked things off early with land surveying at the Kellner Family Athletic Center, where Phase 1 wrapped up just in time for Badgers fall camp. Players are now breaking in the brand new indoor football field at this $285 million, state of the art facility.

The center supports all 23 UW athletic programs, with the football field as its crown jewel—surrounded by a track, weight room, coaches’ offices, dining hall, sports medicine center, and more. Wisconsin Badgers

We’re so pleased to announce that Whitney Schmidt is one of our newest associates!

As a Senior Due Diligence Specialist, Whitney supports our Development Services team with project management, client relationships, and database management. She also conducts entitlement and permit research, manages project schedules, and coordinates with architects, engineers, and various internal and external teams throughout each project.

Outside of work, Whitney enjoys traveling to Northern Wisconsin, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family! Congratulations, Whitney!

JSD welcomes Jacob Blue, PLA, ASLA, as our newest Director of Landscape Architecture! Jacob will have an initial focus on Wisconsin and continued growth throughout the Midwest.

He brings more than 20 years of experience within landscape architecture and ecology and has led public and private projects around the world spanning parks and recreation, campuses, commercial and residential development, waterfronts, sports facilities, botanical gardens, environmental restoration, and even landfill and mine restoration. He is also a co-author of the Sustainable Sites Handbook and served as a subject matter expert in the development of SITES content for the LEED exam.

Jacob’s Wisconsin experience includes significant work associated with UW–Madison, Milwaukee, Kenosha, and other markets throughout the state. Welcome to our JSD family!

Introducing Courtney Cox as one of our newest associates!

As a talented Civil Engineer, Courtney plays an important role in designing and supporting a wide range of civil engineering projects, including utilities, grading and drainage, street improvements, construction documents, and site development.

When she is not designing civil engineering projects, Courtney enjoys exploring new destinations, staying active, spending weekends camping, dancing, and making sure her parents' dogs get plenty of love and attention.
