I'm excited to share another article that was recently published by Landscape Architect Magazine / Landscape Architect Media Group.
Some of you may remember my article "Elitism in the Profession," which sparked a number of thoughtful conversations here last year. This newest piece takes a different direction. Rather than focusing on the profession itself, it reflects on my own journey into landscape architecture—from growing up around art and public service, to studying sculpture and fine arts, to discovering a profession that brought many of those interests together.
Writing it gave me the opportunity to reflect on many people, places, and experiences that helped shape my path. Looking back reminded me just how fortunate I've been to learn from so many talented friends, teachers, mentors, clients, colleagues, and family members over the years. Some of you may even recognize a few stories—or yourselves—along the way.
