Discovery channels next videographer and narrator right here! I’ve always tried to raise my kids to not be scared of things. Especially when there really isn’t a good reason. Glad some of it is sticking but I wish more of it would. Proud of this girl either way.

2Timothy 1:7 tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind.
We need to remind our kids and ourselves that sometimes.

Snapping turtles are cool. We used to catch them when we were kids and keep them in an old bathtub beside the well house at my granny’s house. We would feed them all kinds of stuff until we’d get bored of it then we’d turn it loose in hopes of catching it again. Good simple times.

Armadillos are expanding into new parts of the Midwest, and they keep pushing farther north. Nine-banded armadillos have been moving north and east for more than a century, and they’re now established across Missouri, southern Iowa, parts of Kansas and Illinois, with sightings continuing to climb in Indiana.

Now researchers have documented one near the Indiana-Ohio line, suggesting their range may still be growing. Cold winters are still the biggest thing holding them back, but if the trend continues, armadillos could become a much more common sight across the Midwest.
