Guest Turf Essentials will begin pre-emergent applications for crabgrass and other unsightly spring w**ds this month through February. We will also eliminate any winter w**ds that you may have in your lawn now. We typically do six applications a year that include 2 fertilizations. Pre-emergent season is upon us. Several times last year, I showed up to do an application, and the lawn was covered with leaves. Alisha Stane Guest and I have decided that this year we will offer leaf removal whether we do your w**d control or not.

If you are a current w**d control customer, you will receive a 10% discount for leaf removal. If you sign up for w**d control, you will receive the 10 percent discount for leaf removal, and you will also receive 20% off your first application. I do 6 applications a year but never require our customers to sign a contract.

If you have bermudagrass, we can blanket your lawn with a nonselective herbicide killing all the winter w**ds when the bermudagrass goes dormant soon. We can't do this with zoysia because zoysia never goes completely dormant at this latitude. With zoysia we use safe, selective herbicides.

Hi everyone and especially all of you who have supported us this year. We just finished our November applications, and now, we are planning for the big winter pre-emergent application to prevent annual grassy w**ds, like crabgrass, and broadleaf w**ds. We are now taking appointments for the January treatments.

If you have bermudagrass, now is the time to eliminate those stubborn grassy w**ds not covered by pre-emergent herbicides. When your bermuda goes dormant, we can simply blanket the entire lawn without risk to the good turf. That means you will have a clean lawn prior to the pre-emergent application.

With Alisha so ill, it is imperative that I add more customers. In January, I am going to put up door hangers. Also, any existing customers who bring in a referral will receive a free application for each lawn they bring in. For new customer's, I am offering a 20 percent discount on your first application.

Guest Turf Essentials will never ask you to sign a contract. I always stand by my work and don't mind coming back, at my cost, if a w**ds is showing resistance.

In just 2 short weeks, we will begin applying pre-emergent herbicide to prevent winter w**ds. These w**ds germinate in the fall, go dormant in the winter, and emerge in early spring. One of these winter w**ds the the dreaded poa annua which looks like pretty grass at first. Quickly, it forms clumps and can takeover a lawn. It is very important that we treat poa annua before it germinates because post-emergent products labeled for poa annua are very expensive.

Between September 1 and September 15, it is imparative that we apply a good layer of pre-emergent herbicide to prevent poa annual, chickw**d, henbit, and other winter w**ds that we see in early Spring. Poa may look like pretty grass at first, especially after months of dormant winter turf. If allowed to thrive, poa will tear a pretty lawn apart as it clumps and separates us your turf. The product to kill poa once it germinates and begins to grow is among the most expensive chemicals on the market! Treatment can get expensive. Like I say a lot, pre-emergents are the backbone of a successful w**d control program.

I am currently conducting a referral program. I am offering 10 percent of the application cost for one year to anyone referring an account. No contract will never be required. Unfortunately, I am only treating bermudagrass and zoysia at the present time. The demand for St.Augustine and Centepede service is still too low for me to justify purchasing special chemical for one or 2 lawns. I hope you expand to servicing all warm season grass next year.

It is time to put out fertilizer and get that deep green color that we have all longed through the winter. For the first fertilizer application, I am going with a quick release liquid, high in nitrogen. Of course, I will spray any existing w**ds resulting from this crazy weather at no additional charge. I have been doing pre-emergent applications for crabgrass all week. I work from sunup to sundown, but I spend a few hours of that time caring for my wife, Alisha. She has stage 4 cervical cancer. We are staying ahead of it, and she has bounced back from the the last treatment. I was so worried, but in a day, she was almost back to normal.

We still have time according to the crabgrass calendar. I think we can even add a few days because of the low temperatures, ice, and snow that we recently endured. I am still guaranteeing great results if we apply the pre-emergent herbicide by 3/20. If any crabgrass gets through, I have quincloric to take it out while it is still young.

Alisha was given 12-18 months to live. Today, her latest scans are clear and we are fasting approaching infusion #57 at 32 months. I am one proud husband.
