For 40 years, one of the things that has set Wellborn Forest apart is our commitment to serving our dealers and customers with care, knowledge, and genuine relationships.

Few people represent that commitment better than Carla Vickers.

Carla joined Wellborn Forest in May of 1988 as our receptionist and became Customer Service Manager in 2000. During her nearly four decades with the company, she has seen tremendous growth and change.

“When I started here, we had one flat panel door, Colony Square, and one solid raised panel door, Lenox Square and Lenox Cathedral—all in Oak! We have come a long way since then!”

Throughout the years, Carla has helped countless dealers navigate products, answer questions, and find solutions. But for her, the most rewarding part has always been the relationships.

“Working at Wellborn Forest has allowed me to meet and work with so many wonderful people. I love working with our dealers and helping everyone understand the products we offer. My favorite thing about working here is the relationships that have been created through the years—not just business relationships, but personal ones as well.”

When asked what Wellborn Forest means to her, Carla shared a sentiment that speaks to the heart of our company:

“Wellborn Forest is special to me because this is where I grew up. This company raised me and raised my family. Wellborn Forest is my family.”

The glass block feature brings light into the space while inspiring a cohesive design, with the pattern carried throughout the wall and floor tile for a seamless look the whole family can enjoy.

✨As we celebrate National Remodeling Month, we would like to acknowledge our incredible designers, who are dedicated to historic preservation. Their expertise in maintaining the integrity of period estates and properties, while incorporating personal touches into timeless designs, is truly commendable.

✨Spotlight on New Orleans - In New Orleans, Hunter Ebey with French Quarter Facades exemplifies this balance between the classic and contemporary, blending stately elegance with a family-friendly atmosphere.

✨We asked Hunter to tell us more about this kitchen and what made it so unique...
"This kitchen is located in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans, a historic artsy neighborhood just downriver from the French Quarter, filled with stunning and well-preserved historical buildings and landmarks.
We revitalized a vintage 1950s Chambers stove and incorporated charming old-style features, such as a classic farmhouse sink, to preserve the historic essence of this 1840s Creole townhome. Every design decision was made with intention—from honoring the original architecture and period details to blending in modern functionality that never competes with the home’s character. The result is a warm, inviting kitchen that feels timeless and storied, where every element pays tribute to the past while still serving the way you live today.

The stunning blue hue is a Your Color custom shade from Benjamin Moore, known as Dark Royal Blue 2065-20. The cabinetry is designed to our specifications by Wellborn Forest, featuring the Chiswick Shaker style, constructed with elite all-plywood and solid wood materials." Hunter Ebey 🤍
