A design concept pairing two finishes in one door style: Shelby in Maple with a Honey stain for the island and pantry, and Shelby in Polar painted MDF for the perimeter.

Combining a stained wood with a painted finish adds warmth and contrast while keeping the design cohesive. Using the same door style across both finishes is what makes it work — the clean shaker profile ties the space together, so the contrast reads as intentional rather than mismatched.

This is an approach that fits a wide range of clients: warm enough for transitional and farmhouse spaces, clean enough for modern ones.

Warm and moody never looked so good.

This kitchen pairs our Hamilton door in Asheville Reflection on MDF with Sweet Tea on Maple — a soft, muted green against rich, warm wood tones that feels both classic and current.

It's the kind of pairing that suits a home with character: traditional or transitional spaces with some age and architectural detail, where the cabinetry should feel collected, not brand new.

This is a real kitchen, not a showroom — swipe through to see it from every angle

Last Thursday, Wellborn Forest Cabinetry had the pleasure of hosting a KCMA Plant Tour. We welcomed over 240 visitors, who heard from Tim Wellborn and then got to take a tour of the plant. We are so grateful to our leadership team, office staff, plant supervisors, and plant employees for all the work they put in to make this a successful event.

Last week, we hosted the team from Bailey's Discount Center for a visit at Wellborn Forest.

We love having our customers come see us — they're family, and we love welcoming them home. During their time here, they learned a lot about us, and we learned just as much from them. Hearing directly about their experience with our products helps us understand how we can serve them even better.

They left with a better understanding of the value Wellborn Forest brings — and we're so grateful they made the trip. We love our customers, and we're so appreciative of every one of them.
