WeatherShield Roofing & Sheetmetal is proud to support Aledo Athletic, Inc. in a special fundraising effort to transform Cole Thompson Field into a permanent legacy space honoring Cole's impact, leadership, and love for the Aledo community.
This project will create a lasting tribute—one that future athletes, families, and visitors will see and remember for years to come.

Cole Thompson loved baseball, but even more than the game, he loved the kids who played it.

If Cole wasn't walking a roof or spending time with his family, you could almost always find him at the Aledo Athletic fields. He showed up consistently, selflessly, and with a heart for serving others. His encouragement and leadership left a lasting impact on countless young athletes and families throughout our hometown.

Today, Aledo Athletic, Inc. is leading a field improvement project in Cole's honor, creating a permanent tribute that reflects the passion, service, and care he gave so freely. These improvements will serve generations of players and families while standing as a visible reminder of the difference one person can make.

When it comes to complex roofing projects, few compare to the scale of the work underway at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico.

WeatherShield Roofing & Sheetmetal is proud to serve as a trusted partner in restoring and protecting one of America’s most iconic outdoor destinations. From emergency response and metal roofing to commercial flat roof systems, this project has required every aspect of our expertise.

Within 24 hours of a major hailstorm, our team mobilized to install 37,000 square feet of temporary TPO roofing, protect parapet walls, secure skylights, and board damaged windows across the property.
Within a week, roof replacement operations were underway with one goal: complete as much work as possible before winter arrived.

In just two and a half months, our team completed:
✔️ 700,000 square feet of metal roofing replacement - nearly 16 acres of roofing

✔️ 85,300 linear feet of trim, gutters, downspouts, and ridge vents - more than 16 miles of fabricated metal

✔️ 51,000+ square feet of commercial PVC roofing systems V Roofing replacements across 270 buildings in nine areas of the ranch

Beginning this August, following summer camp, WeatherShield will begin the next phase of roofing restoration at two of Philmont’s most historic structures: the Historic Villa Philmonté and PTC Assembly Hall. Crews will install more than 31,000 square feet of premium tile roofing, custom copper trim, gutters, downspouts, and standing seam accents.

And we’re not finished. This fall, our crews will begin Phase 3, packing into the backcountry to replace roofing systems across the ranch’s remaining 140,000 acres-bringing materials, manpower, and craftsmanship into some of the most remote locations in the country.

Projects like Philmont are what we’re built for. When disaster strikes, we respond quickly, protect what matters, minimize further damage, and deliver roofing solutions that help organizations keep moving forward.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to a man we miss every single day.

Today we celebrate the life of Cole Thompson - a husband, father, son, brother, friend, leader, and one of the kindest souls many of us have ever known.

Cole had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and important. He worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with a servant’s heart. His impact on his family, friends, community, and everyone fortunate enough to know him will continue for generations.

While we wish more than anything that he were here celebrating with us today, we are grateful for every memory, every lesson, and every laugh he left behind.

We miss you beyond words, Cole. Thank you for showing us what it means to live with a truly big heart.
