Did you know that now is the best time to do things like prune trees, do flowerbed maintenance and repair those trails that your dog has pounded into the ground on the fenceline? The reason we do this work in these months is to
1) Reduce stress on established plants because they're typically dormant during the winter months
2) Doing this kind of work now allows roots to be reestablished stronger than before.
3) It's cooler, thus preventing trees and grass from going into shock and dying.
