🐛Bag Worms are an ornamental pest that we deal with every summer! They feed on and defoliate a variety of evergreen trees, especially Junipers and Cedar Trees.

These caterpillars encase themselves in a protective “bag” made from silk and plant foliage, making curative insecticide treatment less effective once the issue has progressed

The best time to treat for Bag Worms is late spring/early summer as a preventative treatment! If you have a current bag worm issue, the best solution is to physically remove the bags and apply an ornamental insecticide if infestation is severe!
