When I do a preventative maintenance, I don’t rush it.
I take my time with it because I see it more like a refurbishment… almost like giving your unit a factory reset. I’m not just there to “look at it” — I’m there to clean it, go through it, and bring it back to where it should be.
I wipe everything down. I clean what most people skip.
Some people say, “Why clean dirt if it’s not hurting anything?”
But to me, it’s simple — if it’s not helping your system, why leave it there?
I take a lot of pride in my work. Every service call matters to me, and I don’t leave until I know I did the best job I possibly could.

What I Actually Do During a PM:
First thing, I go through the whole system and really look it over — I’m checking for anything worn out, loose, or about to cause problems.
Then I check your filter. If it needs to be replaced, I’ll take care of it.
After that, I clean your coils. That’s one of the biggest things for airflow and efficiency, and a lot of units get neglected there.
I move on to the blower — I check the motor, the wheel, and clean out all the dust and buildup that slows it down.
If your system has a belt, I check the condition and tension and make sure it’s not about to snap on you.
Then I go through the electrical — tighten connections, check components, make sure nothing’s overheating or getting weak.
I clear out your drain line so you don’t end up with backups or water damage.
If it’s a cooling system, I check refrigerant levels and make sure everything’s running like it should.
If it’s a gas unit, I check burners, flame, and safety controls.
I test your thermostat and make sure everything is communicating right.
And then I go back and wipe everything down — not because I have to, but because that’s just how I work.
Finally, I run the system and make sure everything is operating the way it should before I leave.
⸻
That’s the difference — I’m not just doing a quick service… I’m taking care of your system like it’s my own.
