We’re proud to celebrate Ron Burstein, AIA, CCS, on receiving the AIA NM Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ron’s decades of leadership, mentorship, and dedication to civic, healthcare, and laboratory design have made a lasting impact across New Mexico and beyond.

We’re grateful to be part of such a strong design community alongside New Mexico, Albuquerque, and Albuquerque.

His legacy continues to shape our work and our culture at Studio SW.

We’re live on YouTube — take a first look.

Studio SW has launched a new channel with a first look at the Eddy County Detention Center — a project five years in the making and now moving from design into reality.

This video highlights key elements of the proposed facility, including prefabricated housing, dorm-style configurations, and shared spaces designed to support daily operations and long-term functionality.

In honor of Black History Month, we recognize that Black history lives in schools, civic buildings, and community spaces that have carried stories too often overlooked or erased. Preserving these places is a way of honoring their past while protecting their future.
