Just a five minute walk away from Cohousing ABQ is Valle Del Bosque Park.

Our community recently gathered under the beautiful cottonwood tree at the park for a picnic potluck. We grilled, ate, and had time to catch up with one another while the kids ran around on the playground.

It is fun to think about all the future times we will spend together and with our neighbors at this park!

The Cohousing ABQ community recently enjoyed a cozy weekend retreat up in the Pecos mountains.

We savored the time together by hiking, playing games, making fires, cooking, and eating delicious food. Another great taste of what we look forward to when we move into our Cohousing homes this fall!

Most of the Cohousing ABQ homes now have windows and roofs! The concrete slab for the common house should be poured this week, and the building will really start to take shape after we receive the shipment of steel beams in the next month.

While construction continues, we've been enjoying spending time outside, meeting up for picnics and park playdates. In one of the photos attached to this post, you can see some of our community members trying out a popular Scandinavian lawn game called Kubb. We had a great time competing as teams and throwing wooden batons to knock over the other team's blocks. It's fun for us to imagine the many different lawn games we'll play together on our lawn in front of the common house once construction has finished!

It's always exciting to see flowers blooming as spring begins in Albuquerque! 🌸

Thanks to the support of Tree New Mexico and their amazing volunteers, we were recently able to plant a small orchard of 16 peach, plum, cherry, and nectarine trees on the Cohousing ABQ land. We look forward to these little trees sharing their beautiful flowers and fruit with our community for many years to come!

Construction progress has been rapid on the Cohousing ABQ property and many of our homes are now completely framed out! 🥳

We still have a couple of homes available for sale, including a 3 bedroom home, visible in the first photo of this post (it is the middle unit in this building).
