Cabinets, sinks, countertops, and tile! Now that the finishes are going in, everything feels so close and real.

Our members are meeting to figure out many of the more practical elements of living together such as plantings, common house furnishings, and what sort of platform we will use to keep track of common meals and workshare.

We had a wonderful time on our annual camping trip in the Jemez Mountains!

Highlights included roasting s'mores, hiking to some hot springs, digging in the mud, swinging on hammocks, cooking and eating whole-group meals, late-night campfire chats, and lots of quality time together.

The kids ran around the campsite in groups, making boats to float down the creek, and playing a wide variety of make-believe games. Seeing the kids thrive in this sort of free-play, multiage environment, makes us evermore excited for moving into cohousing.

We will be moving into our Cohousing ABQ homes in a staggered fashion between October 2026 and February 2027. There are a few homes still available.

Some of our homes have now been stuccoed and drywall is going in! Our community is eagerly anticipating the first move-ins in October.

With a couple of units left available for purchase, we are looking for a few more neighbors to join our community.

Construction progress continues for Cohousing ABQ!

Both interior insulation and exterior rigid insulation are being installed on the homes. Framing on the common house has finished, and the one-bedroom units on top of the common house are in the process of being framed.

Our members can't wait for the next land tour when we will get to step foot inside the common house and see where the magic of community meals and gatherings will occur!

Just a five minute walk away from Cohousing ABQ is Valle Del Bosque Park.

Our community recently gathered under the beautiful cottonwood tree at the park for a picnic potluck. We grilled, ate, and had time to catch up with one another while the kids ran around on the playground.

It is fun to think about all the future times we will spend together and with our neighbors at this park!

The Cohousing ABQ community recently enjoyed a cozy weekend retreat up in the Pecos mountains.

We savored the time together by hiking, playing games, making fires, cooking, and eating delicious food. Another great taste of what we look forward to when we move into our Cohousing homes this fall!
