3 years in Dallas.
Can’t believe it’s already been that long.

Truth is, this wasn’t our first try at Texas. Four and a half years ago we took a shot at Lubbock and it didn’t work. We learned the hard way that you can’t just send equipment somewhere and expect it to take off. We didn’t transfer our culture, and it showed.

I told myself if we ever tried Texas again, we’d do it right. We’d bring what built us, not just what we own.
In 2023 we loaded up two pumps, had one client lined up, no guarantees, and made the move to Dallas. This time we brought our people, our standards, and our way of doing things. Our branch manager trusted me enough to move his entire life out here. Our operators believed in it. Our GM held it all together overseeing everything from day one. That trust has been everything.

What started with a gut feeling has grown into a full operation serving the entire DFW metroplex. And 2026 is poised to be the biggest year in company history.

None of this happens without the people behind it. Our branch manager, our GM, our mechanics, our operators, our office controller. One giant collaborative effort. And to every GC, superintendent, and foreman who gave us a shot and keeps calling us back, thank you.

We’re proud to announce that the project that launched Chavez Concrete Pumping from a single 39 meter pump into a 13 pump two state operation has come full circle.

Our first major contract began right here at Facebook (now Meta) in Los Lunas, New Mexico. What started as one pump quickly grew into a full fleet to meet Meta’s demanding schedule, proving that a local company could perform at a national level.

After a strong run with Fortis, we’re excited to announce that Chavez Pumping has officially signed a new multi year contract for Phase 2 of the Meta Data Center with Mortenson Construction Group. Our first run was almost exactly 10 years with Fortis and we’re hoping phase 2 is another 10!

More than anything, this project keeps the work local, something we take great pride in.

Our second highlight, Luz embodies the strength, dedication, and loyalty that aligns with our company values.
Over the past 5 years (come June!), Luz has transformed from a part-time COVID secretary growing herself in our own and best controller we’ve had.

Her easygoing nature, hard work, and growth in leadership have impressed all of us and made her an indispensable part of our operations.
She ensures our projects run seamlessly across regions from scheduling and endless paperwork from the National Labs and other high profile projects. Starting from humble beginnings during challenging times, Luz’s journey is an inspiring example of what comes from hard work and being rewarded in doing so.
