HISTORY
Pre-engineered construction within the car wash and lube industry is an evolution which was begun 30 years ago by Albert Shinn. Shinn developed a modular lube center manufacturing process to create these cutting-edge, pre-engineered buildings the first production modular lube centers in the industry. Shinn’s companies soon became the nation’s largest producers of modular lube centers. The success of these companies was based on its faster, more economical, and lower risk ways to building lube centers. Shinn’s efforts then turned to leveraging his experience in the car wash industry, a market with close affinity to the modular lube center business he helped define. He developed a revolutionary, low-cost pre-engineer car wash building, built out of glass and aluminum. In 1992, Albert W. Shinn formed the largest building company of its kind, designing and manufacturing pre-engineered and modular lube center buildings on a national basis. He worked with General Motors, Toyota and Wal-Mart engineers in reference to lube centers and carwash buildings. Al, as he is known to friends, has worked with and consulted with most of the major oil companies in the country. Al has owned and operated his own lube centers.
