Two black wires. Two white wires. Which pair actually feeds this box? 🔧

This home was built in 1954, and the old two-prong outlet is being upgraded to a GFCI. How would you identify the incoming supply? What stands out about the wiring and metal box?

Oops….

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the cluster f*ck this house has become. We're going to lose the home next month and our entire $157,000 we've invested into this home. If you have any advice let me know.

Ummmm, I’m thinking no with the wood post to hold a sparky electrical breaker….

⚠️ If a breaker won’t stay on, don’t force it or prop it in place. A breaker that trips may be signaling a problem that needs a proper inspection. Keep the panel clear and call a licensed electrician to find the cause safely. 🛠️
