👏 Welcome, Principal Planner Rosie Dudley!

A strategic designer and planner with more than 25 years of experience in the field, Rosie was raised in Albuquerque’s South Valley. She worked in the Bay Area for most of her career, returning to her hometown in 2018. These days you can find her attending Isotopes and United games and at Pat Hurley playing her most recent past-time, pickleball, with three generations of her family. A big-time traveler and adventurer, Rosie has been to almost all continents and has tested her courage by skydiving, hang gliding, bungee jumping, and hanging out with lions and cheetahs.

A creative thinker through and through, Rosie loves puzzles and creative projects. She worked as a jeweler for 5 years in the Bay Area after learning silver-smithing at Albuquerque High. Rosie finds fulfillment in her work as a planner because of the mix of design, infrastructure, and community development. Planning takes good intentions and transforms them into long-lasting improvements in our New Mexico communities: whether here in ABQ or across the state. She’s proud of her work completing the long-range plan for UNM, as well as her work preserving historic Albuquerque resources as a board member on the Landmarks Commission.

🍂💡No dreary Fall day is match for the beautifully restored Neon @ Nine Mile Hill, the newly opened park at the Route 66 Visitor Center in Albuquerque. You can now mosey through a series of walking paths or take a seat to bask in the historic legacy (and glow) of signs on loan from a local collector.

This green stormwater infrastructure landscape (GSI) is a sustainable, low-impact engineering project that supports the City of Albuquerque's efforts to use GSI across the city to divert stormwater off the streets, provide wildlife habitat, and provide educational opportunities.

Meet our new Bookkeeping Assistant, Dominic Quintana! 👏

Since childhood, Dominic has been taking things apart to see if he can fix them, the perfect skill-set for someone who needs to make sure all our projects are billed correctly! This interest in figuring out how things work has also applied to his studies in electrical engineering and his love of gaming and building PCs. His favorite way to spend his free time is streaming on Twitch as an affiliate. Through this side gig he meets new people and makes some extra cash. While everyone loves it when he plays scary games—like Silent Hill 2—because they love his reactions, he also enjoys playing competitive first-person shooter games like Fortnight and Apex Legends.

Albuquerque born and raised, Dominic played trumpet in his family’s mariachi band until he realized his natural talent for dancing. Since then, he has explored different styles of dance, from Hip-hop to Latin dance, and would like to continue taking lessons.

👋 A warm welcome to Aaron Hill, the newest Planner joining our team!

If we lived in a world where nothing needed to be improved, Aaron Hill would be a highly esoteric history professor. In the world we live in, however, his career ambition is to empower people to create the communities they want to live in. Growing up in the rural south in small towns where poverty, housing insecurity, and a sense of powerlessness were the norm, Aaron wasn’t exposed to the possibilities of the urban form until he spent a year during high school in Taipei. Immersed in the vibrant culture and convenience of this densely-populated city, he was able to bike and ride public transit everywhere he needed to go—and add Mandarin to his quiver of languages to join Japanese. This transformative experience solidified his interest in urban planning and his desire to engage people in working toward the things they value.

Always in the pursuit of knowledge and new experiences, Aaron is currently pursuing his master’s degree in urban planning. He and his wife also run a woodworking business selling homemade home goods, ornaments, and cutting boards. In his free time (wait, what free time?!) he indulges in video-gaming, camping, hiking, and experimenting with cooking new vegetarian-friendly recipes for his wife.
